Handwoven Alpaca, Wool and Silk Scarves

The development of this scarf collection began in 2022. Earlier designs became the starting point for further development, encouraging me to search for better technical solutions, refine the weave structures and improve the finishing techniques until the scarves achieved the quality I was aiming for.

Each scarf is handwoven on AVL A-Series handlooms using carefully selected natural fibres, including alpaca, wool, silk and mohair. Combining contemporary design with advanced handloom technology, the collection focuses on exceptional softness, warmth, durability and timeless aesthetics.

The scarves have been presented at international textile events, including Webermarkt in Haslach, Austria, and have received the Certified Estonian Artisanal Craft quality label awarded by the Estonian Folk Art and Craft Union.

Although my current work is primarily dedicated to the technological reconstruction of historical museum textiles, these scarves remain an important part of my creative practice. The collection reflects years of experimentation with materials, weave structures and finishing techniques, while demonstrating the possibilities of contemporary handloom weaving.

Where to See the Collection

The scarf collection is regularly presented at selected design and craft events in Estonia, including:

Visitors are welcome to experience the scarves in person, explore the materials and craftsmanship, and meet the maker.
